The West Buckland festival is pleased to annouce that The SYD LITTLE Laughter Show will be appearing at the 2012 Festival.

1978: I once had a girlfriend called Anne who wore ‘Charlie’ perfume. Every time we came close I sneezed. This was not conducive to a passionate affair. Supporting West Buckland Festival 2012

The West Buckland Festival is held during the first ten days of September. Of the 12 to 14 different Events the majority are staged in St Peter’s Church, West Buckland – a Church on the edge of Exmoor. It is an active Church with regular Sunday Services, a Post Office, a Coffee Bar and a local produce shop. The tone of the Festival is high quality – be the events a Classical Music Concert, an Art Exhibition, a Variety Show or a MasterClass, a Workshop or even an Exmoor Walk. We always look for the very best professionals or local artists or leaders.

In 2012 our three chosen charities are:

(The North Devon Hospice needs to raise well over £2,000,000 each year) – St Peter’s Church, West Buckland and West Buckland Village Hall

The main aims of the Festival are:

•  To bring together people from all over North Devon to enjoy good friendship and companionship in a lively Festival environment.

•  To provide top quality entertainment, music and art throughout the Festival weekend with a majority of participants being professional artists.

•  To raise monies for chosen Charities.

The money generated by this website will be added to the funds raised by the festival whose purpose is to provide music, art and entertainment for the people of North Devon. The building belongs to The University of Plymouth (which was originally a Polytechnic) with its constituent bodies being Plymouth Polytechnic, Rolle College, the Exeter College of Art and Design (which were, before April 1989, run by Devon County Council) and Seale-Hayne College (which before April 1989 was an independent charity). It was renamed Polytechnic South West in 1989 and remained as this until gaining university status in 1992 along with the other polytechnics. The new university absorbed the Plymouth School of Maritime Studies and Tavistock College.
